Gestalt Therapy
Gestalt therapy is an existential, phenomenological, and process-based approach created on the laying claim that individuals must be understood in the context of their current relationships with the environment (Corey, 2009). Gestalt theorist practice the principle of holism in which they focus on the whole individual and not say parts. They believe that everything is in constant fluctuation between the person and the environment. This theory focuses on the present day and less on what have or could happen. Strength
Gestalt therapy has many positive elements but some more than others. Limitations
Over all I do not really care for the exercises that the patient use in therapy sessions.
