Three Components of a Good College Composition Essay

Three Components of a Good College Composition EssayThere are many examples of college composition essays that can be used to learn what each of the elements of a good College Composition essay is. These components include sub-headings, each of which provides information, but often also contributes to the actual writing of the essay. The term 'sub-heading' refers to the section of the document that contains the author's title, author's first and last name, and the course title.Your understanding of these items is important as you create your outline. You may be able to find them in your school's guide, or they may be listed in your curriculum manual. Often, however, the author's name will provide enough background for you to understand that the heading belongs within the column. The second component of a College Composition essay is the title. There are some exceptions to this rule, such as when a formal name is not available for the author. When this occurs, use the author's name as it appears in the syllabus. Once you have the name, begin your outline by providing your opinion of the author. The third component of a good College Composition essay is the first paragraph. It must include your opinion of the author, as well as what the quality of the work is. Many colleges do not require the first paragraph of a written assignment to contain any opinion, but this is usually used in the author's personal statement. If you are dealing with an essay, you should make sure the essay contains an opinion, if you wish to write it correctly. The last portion of a College Composition essay is the personal statement. This is often referred to as the Body of the Paper and may contain opinions, insights, and memories about the author. Many times the author's initials are also included. This is most often found in the subject line of the email, or on a personal website. Finally, make sure that your essay has a unique idea and strong, concise language. Do not include any fluff in your essay. If you can, avoid using too many words in your essay; this is often a sign of a writer who does not like his/her own work and therefore is afraid to give an honest review. It is important to remember that all three parts of a College Composition essay must be presented in order for the author to be properly evaluated. As you write, make sure to focus on each of the components mentioned above, as well as any additional information you feel is necessary.
