Rudolph Christian Karl diesel motorRudolph Diesel was born on March 18, 1858 in Paris. On September 4, 1870Rudolphs family moved to England. In latterly November they decided it would bebetter for Rudolph to continue his schooling in Germany so he moved there on hisown and stayed with a unseasoned professor. The problems Rudolph was trying to solvewere the noise, size and unreliability of the steam engine. he cherished tocreate something that superheated ammonia gas could put on the place of steam in asteam engine. He wanted to enable much high compression pressures to be usedthan was able with conventional steam engines. In this way he could makegreater use of heat energy. Rudolph was 32 when he finally accomplished hisgoal of creating the first ever Diesel Engine.To create the Diesel engine which made Rudolph famous he had to take theoriginal steam engine and give it exhaust valves water cooling musical arrangement for the cylinderhead and barrel and a compressed air fuel-i njection system to ensure that theliquid fuel was forced into the combustion space with decent pressure toovercome the air in the cylinder.
