Updikes A&P is a twaddle about a seemingly normal solar day at work for a young hu gentlemans gentlemankind and a series of events that culminate into an unthought-of conclusion. The clear antagonist in A&P is the grocery store director Mr. Lengel and Lengel is the epitome of a lawful boss with young subordinates.
