The theme for, The Tragedy of Macbeth is that some great deal believe that illusions depart become a part of reality if they be influenced from a higher power. Examples of this would be when Macbeth proverb the floating dagger and hear/saw Banquos ghost. Macbeth knows that if he kills King Duncan he pass on be king, so he kills him with the floating dagger he saw. The theme in Shakespeares play is supported by the dreams he had and the apparitions shown to him.
Macbeth had reoccurring dreams that made him believe they were dismission to become reality. The offset printing dream he had was of a young boy putting on his crown and then killing him. Macbeth woke up with scourge that Fleance would kill him and become king. Another dream he had was Macduff attack into his room covered in blood holding a pillow over his face strangling him. Since Macbeth had hired someone to kill Macduff and everyone else in his castle, he started to feel guilty causing him to have this dream. Macbeths dreams made him seem like they were going to become reality because since you cant control your dreams, they are actually a higher power.
The three apparitions played a great role in the story. The witches show Macbeth an apparition of a bloody child saying, No man born from a woman will vilify you.

Seeing this apparition caused Macbeths confidence to rise because they were shown from a higher power than him.
