Alternative Energy: Fund New or Fund What We Know?
The U.S is non the biggest country in the world. Its the third. It is not considered the vanquish country in the world. In fact, its not even in the top ten. At any given moment, lights are on, water is running, and homes are a delightful 68 degrees. Is it possible to ensure this life will be here for generations to come? No one can say. What one can say, however, is that the lack of resources is a problem. Although there may be many solutions to any given problem, in this case, the most logical solution would be: alternative energy.
Although alternative energy such as wind, solar, and waves are natural, the technology is not free. Solar panels have proven themselves to be efficient and economically wise.



More than 500 K-12 schools have turned to solar energy in the U.S, and some districts are saving as a lot as $300,000 annually (Carlton 2012). If every school district was able to save hundreds of thousands of dollars distributively year, budget cuts wouldnt mean lay-offs and large class sizes. Saving schools money is only a bantam part of what is possible. The earth uses approximately 400 quads of energy each year. Over eight million quads of solar energy relate the earth every year. Not only does solar energy save millions of barrels of oil annually, it prevents millions of tonnes of carbon dioxide from being released as well (U.S Energy Information Administration, 2012).
